The Downtown Assessment Visit, conducted by the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s
Downtown Resource Center, helps communities strengthen the vitality of their central business
districts. During a two-day visit, the Assessment Team reviews local plans and data, tours the
community, and gathers input from residents, stakeholders, and leaders. These conversations and
