Water & Sewer Service:

The ordinances upon which this information is based may be read in full at City Hall.

A $100.00 deposit is required to initiate water and sewer service and is due at the time of application. The
deposit may be returned after two (2) years of consecutive non-delinquencies. In the event you move out of town before that time, the deposit will be returned once your final bill payment has cleared.

The owner of each property supplied with service shall be held responsible for the payment of all bills for services furnished to that property.

The full cost of the meter shall be paid to the city by the property owner or customer prior to the installation of any such meter by the city, or, at the sole option of the city, the property owner or customer may be required to purchase and install such meter in accordance with requirements established by the city.

All meters shall be so located that they are easily accessible to meter readers and repairmen and protected
from freezing.

Rates for Service

The water rates contained herein shall be increased by ten percent (10%) for all new customers, except
tax-supported facilities, located outside the corporate limits of the City which the City has agreed to serve.

Sewer rates are as follows and are based on water usage:

The minimum sanitary utility charge rate or rental shall be $30.00 per two-month billing cycle. Use of less
than 2900 cubic feet of water per billing period will be charged $30.00 per two-month billing cycle. Over
2900 will be charged at 70% of the total charge of the water bill.

Meters are read every other month. The west side of town will be read in January, March, May, July,
September and November. The east side of town will be read in February, April, June, August, October
and December. Payments are due in the office by 4:30 p.m. on the 10th day of the month following the
reading. When that day falls on the weekend or a legal holiday, the payment is due the following business
day. Please return the stub section of the bill for proper credit. A DROP BOX IS ALSO AVAILABLE.
